I don't think we really 100% know that. I think it's one of those things that we're supposed to wonder about. A very popular idea is that Locke's daddy may be the original Mr. Sawyer.

Excellent episode! I was very worried that they weren't going to tell us how Locke got in the wheelchair, but they delivered.

im also glad to see more of john locke. i thought they kinda abandoned him earlier this year.
but yeah i agree, lost is back in full force now. these past few episodes have reminded me why i think it is the best show on television.
It is just a pity that they got stuck in the mud last season and cost themselves a ton of viewers.

I think the problem with Lost losing people was the way it was aired. Lost, plays like a movie. You have people hanging, wanting answers, waiting for a shoe to drop....and you can't drop it for 4 weeks.
Do this, when Spiderman 3 comes out. Go watch 20 minutes of it, leave, come back 2 weeks later and come in 20 minutes late and watch 30 minutes then, then leave...come back a month later and do another 30 then leave again.
As much as you want to see Spiderman, if you're forced to watch it like that, its hard to keep your interest as high. With the way things are now, most people say to hell with that, and wait for it on DVD.

so, did anyone catch the "goof" with the smoke monster? When they activated the "shiled" on the security fence and the monster ran smack into it why didn't it go OVER it like Kate and the rest did climbing over it with the tree?

It's not smart enough? I mean Kate and crew wouldn't have over it if not for Mikial or whatever his name was doing the foaming mouth thing.
From what we've seen the monster really doesn't really have much 'thinking' ability, if so, it would realize that people are hiding in trees and yank them all out of the ground instead of just one [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
